Is whittling a lost art?

Watched a movie on tv last night - Escape From New York 2. The city was quarantined by an evil virus, and everyone was trying to get out of town. After an hour and 15 minutes and no Kurt Russell, I realized I was watching the news.

Do chickens who have crossed the road to get to the other side feel regret when they find there is nothing different over there?

I had a long talk with myself last night. I can't tell you what it was about because I wasn't listening.
